Second Sunday on King Street

On the second Sunday of every month, King Street in downtown Charleston is closed to vehicle traffic from 1-6.  Our dogs love approve of the King Street restaurants that provide outdoor seating on Second Sundays.  It means that we can bring our dogs and still enjoy getting a bit to eat. People drop popcorn too.  Milo, our little Jack Russell turns into Pac Man snapping up any morsel that he comes across. The last time we counted, we saw 160 dogs that were out with their families enjoying the day.

I think the best time to hit Second Sunday on King Street is between Thanksgiving and Christmas when the weather is cool and more vendors and musical groups are out.  Summer on King Street? Forget it! It is too hot for this girl.
