With a little natural history and a nice walk in the woods the Cypress Gardens, South Carolina makes for a nice outing. Not to be confused water ski themed Cypress Gardens in Florida – the park is a serene setting to enjoy the beauty of a cypress swamp. We visited in the winter, so it was very quiet and we only saw a few birds outside. You can rent a boat or go on a guided boat tour – I’m looking forward to going back to do just that.
Domestic pets are allowed November-February - I guess this means you can bring your cat if you like, but I would think a dog would have a better time.
